Habitat for Humanity believes that every family should have the opportunity to affordably maintain and preserve their home. But many situations can create barriers for you to keep up with repairs, including unexpected life events or disability. Our paint and repair program, also called A Brush with Kindness, offers no interest loans to those in need. Monthly payments can be as low as $50 per month. You must own your home to qualify for repair help.
Loans are Available for the Following Types of Projects:
Painting outside of home
Building wheelchair/handicap ramp
Repairing exterior doors or windows
Minor repairs of exterior trim
Rebuilding exterior stairs or porches
What we can NOT do at this time:
Roof Repairs
Electrical Repairs
Plumbing and Heating Repairs
Trash Clean-Up
No repairs on RVs, travel trailers or 5th Wheels
What are the qualifications to be considered?
Be a veteran, senior or disabled person
Total family income can not exceed $31,800.00 for a family of three or $35,280.00 for a family of four.
Be able to re-pay a 0% loan with small monthly payments
Can you or someone you know answer "yes" to these questions?
Are you struggling to keep your home in livable condition?
Are you facing city violations or homeowner insurance cancellation due to the exterior condition of your home?
If so, you may qualify to participate in this program. There are no fees for labor because work is done by Habitat for Humanity volunteers. Construction material costs cannot exceed $3000.
