Microwaves If your resolution for the New Year is to eat healthier, putting your microwave in the past is an essential step. But since it won’t fit in the trash can, give us a call and we will gladly pick it up for you!
Tools Hand tools and power tools always seem to sit around, becoming duplicates when you get a new set, but staying on the shelf for nostalgia. If you’re stocking up on jigsaws and sanders, consider donating the extras in your collection. Furniture Chairs, couches, and tables – if they’re sitting in a basement, garage, or storage unit, you might consider putting them to better use. ReStore will pick them up, sell them at discounted prices, and use the proceeds from those sales to build homes with Habitat for Humanity.
Cabinets Sometimes the cabinets that come with the house don’t fit with your culinary style. It can be years before we decide it’s time for a change, and it doesn’t help that they can be costly to haul off, but if you can take them off the wall, we will take them off your hands free of charge.
Exercise Equipment Maybe it’s time for an upgrade, or maybe you realized that you’d rather get some fresh air while you work out. Either way, we’ll take the treadmills, stationary bicycles, and elliptical machines that you’re not using and free up that space for something new!
Light Fixtures If you take spring cleaning as an opportunity to redecorate, remember that the ReStore will gladly take your used lights, lamps, sconces, and chandeliers, as long as they are in good condition.
Desks When the paper clutter piles up, it might be time for more drawer space in your desk. If spring cleaning leaves you with piles of manila folders and nowhere to put them, consider buying a better desk at the ReStore. And when you get rid of the old one, just let us know and we’ll send a truck to pick it up!
Don’t forget – everything you donate to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore is used to build homes, communities, and hope in San Juan County.
