Gretchen Cain, President

Hello, I’m Gretchen, current President for Habitat for Humanity, I have two awesome children. I work full time for Farmington Municipal Schools, I also attend Highlands University fulltime. I enjoy working with the community and I think if you want things to change, you have to get out there and help make that happen.

Jim McBee, Vice President
I’m Jim McBee, returning to the board after two earlier terms in office and a year of rest.  I’m a Farmington native and have lived here almost my entire life.  My wife Kathleen and I have three adult children – all FHS graduates – and four grandchildren.

I retired earlier this year after more than 40 years of employment with either Public Service Company of New Mexico or Arizona Public Service Company, mostly at their two local power plants.  Working with Tres Rios Habitat for Humanity has been rewarding in the past.  No doubt the organization can continue to make an important difference for the citizens of San Juan County.

Philip Miller, Board Member
Philip met his wife Susan, the love of his life, while living in Flower Mound, TX.  They married in 1992 and had a son, Brad, a year later.  Brad will graduate with his Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico Tech in Socorro, NM in the spring of 2020.

Philip graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University and began his career with Texas Instruments (TI) in Lewisville, TX where he worked in the Defense Systems and Electronics Group until 1999.  During his time at TI, Philip worked as a facility planner, production engineer, and manufacturing engineer.

After Raytheon purchased the defense business from TI and closed the Lewisville facility, he worked for Nokia as an industrial engineer before going to work for Ericsson microelectronics as a project manager.

He re-joined Raytheon in 2002 as a production supervisor at ELCAN, a specialty optics design and fabrication facility and then transferred to the Raytheon NAPI facility in Farmington in 2003, where he was a principal manufacturing engineer responsible for facility planning, project management, capacity planning, capital investment, and process improvement.  In 2012, Phil became the site facilities manager.

Phil previously served on the board at Pinon Hills Community Church from 2008 -2015.  He is also a member of the Leadership San Juan class of 2014.

He and Susan enjoy traveling and hiking.  Phil has summitted five Colorado “fourteeners”.  He also likes to read.  He is looking forward to his work with Tres Rios Habitat for Humanity.
