Sometimes an opportunity comes along that has the potential to impact a community for generations.
For Tres Rios Habitat for Humanity, that opportunity is here.
We have been blessed with land in the Fruitland community, where over the coming years three local families will have the opportunity to achieve the dream of affordable homeownership.
But this project is about more than building three homes.
It is about bringing together volunteers, local businesses, churches, schools, civic organizations, donors, neighbors, and community partners to create something that will have a lasting impact on San Juan County.
Building Hope in Fruitland is more than a construction project—it is a Community Build.
It is an opportunity for people from every corner of our community to work together, serve together, and leave a legacy that will strengthen families for generations to come.

Our Vision: Building Hope in Fruitland is a long-term community initiative designed to develop three new Habitat homes while creating meaningful opportunities for people to serve together.

Why Fruitland? Tres Rios Habitat for Humanity has been blessed with land in the Fruitland community, creating an exciting opportunity to expand affordable homeownership in northwest New Mexico.
Rather than simply constructing homes, we are intentionally creating a Community Build—bringing together residents, businesses, churches, schools, organizations, and volunteers to help shape this project from the very beginning.
We believe lasting change happens when communities work together.
Building Hope in Fruitland is about creating partnerships that extend beyond construction and strengthening the connections that make communities thrive.

Building Community Through Bridge Building Building Hope in Fruitland is also part of Habitat for Humanity International's Bridge Building Learning Path, a program that encourages organizations to strengthen relationships, foster collaboration, and build more connected communities.
Our approach is guided by five key principles.
🤝 Trust: Building transparent, authentic relationships throughout every stage of the project.
🗣 Representation: Ensuring many voices—including volunteers, future homeowners, neighbors, sponsors, and community partners—are heard and represented.
